Plot[]
Diting and A-Gen fight. A-Gen uses ice attacks, while Diting manipulates flames. The sky is already darkened and rumblings can be heard from the upcoming storm. Grandpa and Xiaobai watch from inside the house, amazed. After receiving an attack, A-Gen admits that he can’t defeat him. Diting insist that he wants the Shining Pearl, and A-Gen tells him that Laojun can explain everything. Meanwhile, Xiaohei defeated all the dogs without any problem. Diting doesn’t trust A-Gen, but A-Gen swears that Laojun did something before Diting became his follower that can explain the whole thing. A-Gen proposes that everyone go ask Laojun about the matter. This angers Diting, who says that you can just go see Laojun whenever you feel like it. They begin fighting again, this time with Xiaohei joining the fight, but Diting is too fast and strong, and manages to deliver a punch to A-Gen’s stomach that removes his spirit from his body, or his “sub spirit”. This results in A-Gen growing four spiritual arms from his back, and struggling in pain in the floor. Everyone gets really worried, and Xiaobai goes outside to check on A-Gen. A-Gen tells Xiaohei to stay away, telling him that Diting is too powerful for him, and manages to absorb his spirit back into his body. Observing Xiaohei, Diting realizes what his power is, and understands how he managed to steal the Shining Pearl. Xiaobai is worried and wants to fight Diting, but A-Gen tells her to go back inside with Xiaohei. A-Gen isn’t worried, and has a plan for the worst case scenario. Diting understands that they won’t give back the Pearl willingly, and A-Gen insists in that everything is part of Laojun’s plans.
Diting begins to attack again, but this time A-Gen focuses on avoiding him instead of attacking, waiting for the right moment to freeze Diting. In the fight, they destroy grandpa’s well, his vegetables, his fruits and his savings, much to his horror. Then, the house gets blown up. A flame destroys A-Gen’s glasses, and everyone pretends they can’t recognize him anymore. He has a poor eyesight, and can’t see anything. Diting wonders why A-Gen hides his real power. Xiaohei insists to A-Gen to let him help him in the fight, but A-Gen doesn’t want his help yet… A-Gen was waiting for the storm to start. In that moment, it begins raining, and A-Gen smiles. Using his ice powers, he build up his glasses and prepares to defeat Diting once and for all. However, Diting is waiting for the storm to pass next to Xiaobai and grandpa. Diting hates rain and has paused the fight. Realizing they could destroy the house if they go fight inside, grandpa proposes a break to drink tea.
Everyone ends up inside, waiting for the rain to pass. The electricity goes off. Xiaobai is worried about Bidiu, but A-Gen gives her assurance that he’s okay. Surprisingly, Diting tells A-Gen that he could fell a house collapsing because of the storm, nine kilometers away, and that people are in danger. A-Gen recognizes by the direction that it’s the town refugee that collapses, and leaves to help everyone there. Once A-Gen is gone, Xiaobai begins to talk to Diting, unafraid of him. She asks for Diting’s name, and asks him if he’s an elfin (spirit). Grandpa recognizes the name, and says that Diting is a mystic beast of ancient times. Xiaobai wonders why Diting fought A-Gen, but Diting doesn’t answer. Instead, he asks her why she isn’t afraid of A-Gen if she knows he’s an elfin. Xiaobai says she would never be scared of his brother. Xiaohei tells him to not reveal he’s an elfin as well.
In the refugee, A-Gen discovers the place was destroyed because of Anti-Ice magical flames. Worried, he absorbs the flames, revealing that he has the ability to absorb fire. However, the place was empty, and nobody was in danger. A-Gen hears Diting’s voice, calling him Xuanli. A-Gen understands that Diting had created the scenario just to test A-Gen’s abilities, and has now realized he's somehow connected to Xuanli, a spirit from Diting’s past, who could absorb flames as well. A clone of Diting appears in the area, and A-Gen smiles, telling him that he knew he couldn’t trick Diting. He knew Xuanli too well. A-Gen, now answering to Xuanli’s name, tells Diting that he enjoys living isolated, and that’s why he kept his real identity hidden.
Back in grandpa’s house, Laojun calls Diting’s cellphone. Laojun wants to see both A-Gen and Xiaohei. Not because A-Gen is Xuanli, but because he wants to talk about the Shining Pearl. A-Gen returns to the house and tells Xiaobai that Diting is his friend, and that their fight was just a game. After Laojun’s call, Xiaohei tells Diting to admit he was wrong to attack and follow him for the Pearl, but Diting says he was a victim as well. Xiaobai is curious to see Laojun, who is a god, and Diting allows her to come with them. Laojun likes big groups, anyway. In the remote mountain, Bidiu is happily eating some fallen plants and avoiding the rain.
